Tom gets whistled at in Vero
With warmer temps and rested bodies, Tomkat departed for Vero Beach Municipal Marina. We were delighted to see many Osprey nests and one with mama & baby.
Nice sunny day with parasailers and boaters.
It is Saturday and boat traffic picked up today. We had late breakfast of Greek yogurt fresh blueberries & granola.
We also enjoyed a nice cup of coconut oolong tea with a tiny bit of coconut sugar. The views are magnificent with scenic views of the ocean and spits of land. There are several shallow areas due to the storm.
We went under the Wabasso bridge and we will keep that spot on our list Dennis.
Lots of fisherman headed to Sebastian Inlet. We decided to pull in to Vero to refuel,
top off our water, get ice for drinks & dump the garbage....but not before a sheriff whistled at Tom to slow down....he was making a wake! Ooops! Speedy girl.....Kat found that hysterical for many reasons!!!We had a pod of dolphins follow us for awhile & Kat talked to them while they raced us! We were able to get thru the Ft. Pierce North Bridge as soon as we approached.
A barge coming northbound let us go first thru the bridge since we are so speedy! Lol! Anchored at 3:00pm Just south of Fort Pierce Inlet in Faber Cove. 75 degrees and calm waters. Very Nice anchorage.
Gourmet Matey made one of her prepared meals of Sopranzo meatballs, pasta and roasted roman cauliflower.
Tom checked all the sails before we head off shore day after tomorrow.
We then settled in the cockpit and enjoyed the launch From Cape Canaveral.
