Decisions, Decisions,Decisions....

Planning and more planning this morning due to winds and seas we were not in favor of today. Captain makes the call to stay inside. It is another beautiful day in south Florida. We slept very well on our anchor last night even with the wind whistling away thru the rigging. We are both loving how the chain and anchor has been performing. We left our anchorage at 10am. We went thru 1st bridge no problem, then when we arrived at the second bridge we saw several mega yachts all jockeying around for position. We told Bridge tender we were in line! He said we were the only one going thru the bridge. The other yachts were all waiting for slips in the Marina area for the Palm Beach International Boat show that starts later this week. We look like a tiny row boat next to these yachts, ridiculous! We then passed by Trump Plaza. After getting to the Southern Blvd. bridge we passed by Mar A Lago. This historic landmark in Palm Beach, built by heiress and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post. She envisioned it as a winter retreat for American Presidents and dignitaries.She gifted it to the nation. No Presidents ever used it, so it was returned to her estate. Then Donald Trump purchased it, he is now using it as it was first intended. It is a long private story, but in 2012 I was an invited guest and had lunch there and met Donald Trump. He was gracious & respectful of everyone in our group. The grounds and estate are very impressive. It was a treat to sail by in our boat. We saw the Goodyear Blimp today up close near Boynton Beach area. We have people who have asked us to blog what we eat, so as to not disappoint...here's lunch! Spring break in full swing in Hillsboro Beach. We had fun watching this kid operate a hydropowered Jetovator. Anchored Lake Sylvia, Ft. Lauderdale at 6:15pm. We had Shrimp Scampi for dinner, hungry kids did not wait to take a picture! Going outside to Key Biscayne tomorrow. Goodnight Ya'll!
