Mile Marker 402. Georgetown,S.C.
Tom left Coquina Yacht Club at 7:30am.
Tom said with River flooding in the right direction it added 2-3miles per hour more to his speed.
He was able to get in 2 hrs. Earlier than expected. He was able to average 8mph with 3 bridge openings.
He enjoyed seeing lots of Ospreys today. Kathy ran errands & explored the area. Enjoyed seeing all the cotton fields ready to be picked.
Drove by many homes surrounded by water due to heavy rains here. It is definitely the "Low Country"!
Beautiful sunset with view of the paper mill in the background. We are happy the wind is blowing away from us!

Rendezvous with KAT at Coquina Yacht Club
Tom traveled from Southport,N.C. To Coquina Yacht Club, Little River, S.C. a total of 38 miles. He reports that at Lockwoods Folly Inlet there was shoaling. He saw a boat that ran aground. He was able to stay out of trouble by following charts closely and went slow.
He beat KAT getting here from Palm Coast. She had to jockey around many Canadian motor homes traveling north and construction after leaving I95. It was good to see Sandy the dockmaster again. She remembered our other boat when we stayed here almost 3 years ago.
Great to be with the Captain again!

He said it was a good 42 mile run. Tomorrow South Carolina & Kat reunion!

Tom reports after leaving Oriental,NC
he traveled about 35 miles to Morehead City,NC. He said most of the trip was uneventful, but the wind came up a little earlier than predicted, so the last hour of travel was breezy. The wind stayed strong and he decided to wait it out another day in Morehead City.
Today was very calm and he had a light breeze in the afternoon. He traveled 64 miles today with two bridge openings.
He reports there were a lot of dolphins swimming and jumping around the boat.
